Casal Solleric April – June 23rd: Jaume Orejuela (Total resolution)

Jaume Orejuela (Total resolution) (1)

Jaume Orejuela (Pollenca 1981), awarded with the Premi Art Jove of l´Institut Balear de la Joventut del Govern Balear (Young Arts Award) has carried out a specific project presented these days at the Casal Solleric. Jaume Orejuela was born 1981 in Pollença, Mallorca. Between 2005 and 2010 he lived in Barcelona’s Raval district and since 2010 in Pollença and Barcelona.

Total resolution. 53.028 pinzellades de pintura acrilica is a multidisciplinary exhibition-proposal of gathering a group off paintings, pictures, maps and the bicycle with which he drove a 40km route of red thread within the exhibition room itself: http://youtu.be/RKgzOERfsTQ

Starting from his interest in the places he has lived in and the mythical geography that takes us beyond one’s experiences…

…this exhibition is the result of his trip to New York, where he drew the Balearic Islands sketch, visualizing a trace of fragile red thread through suburbs and streets randomly picked from the map of the metropolis.
